Transparent scoring

What does my score mean?

Your IronIQ score is an educational reflection of habits and lifestyle factors associated with iron health — not a medical measurement. It cannot tell you whether you have iron deficiency or anemia.

Higher score = healthier awareness habits

The score ranges from 0 to 33. A higher number reflects habits, knowledge and life-stage context that are generally supportive of healthy iron levels. A lower number means more factors that are often associated with iron deficiency risk — which is simply an invitation to learn and, if appropriate, speak with a healthcare professional.

The three awareness bands

011 · 2233
Higher Awareness Risk
Score lower third

Your responses highlight several factors commonly associated with iron deficiency risk. This is purely educational — building awareness and small, evidence-based changes can make a real difference. Please consider speaking with a healthcare professional about your nutrition and any symptoms.

Moderate Awareness Risk
Score middle third

Some habits are already supportive, and others may benefit from small adjustments. Explore the recommendations below — and if anything concerns you, speak with a healthcare professional.

Lower Awareness Risk
Score upper third

Your responses suggest habits and knowledge that support healthy iron levels. Keep learning and sharing what you know. Remember, this is educational — only a clinician can assess actual iron status.

What factors contribute

Nutrition habits

How often you eat heme iron, plant iron, fortified foods, and pair them with vitamin C.

Lifestyle

Sleep quality, physical activity intensity, and how recently you've checked in with a clinician.

Awareness signals

Self-noticed signs like fatigue, dizziness or unusual cravings — not diagnoses.

Context

Life-stage factors such as menstruation, pregnancy, or growth that change iron needs.

How the score is calculated

  1. Each of the 16 questions has answer choices weighted from 0 to 3 risk points.
  2. Risk points across all answers are summed into a raw total.
  3. Your awareness score is then computed as 33 − raw risk points, so a higher score reflects healthier awareness habits.
  4. The number is matched to one of three educational bands above.
  5. Personalized educational steps are generated from the specific habits you described.

The model is intentionally simple and transparent. It is not validated against clinical lab results.
